eKomi.com Review: Affordable and Easy to Use

ekomi

This is a third party review company like Shopper Approved and Trust Pilot, which we’ve reviewed in the past. Basically, eKomi uses easy-to-implement SaaS software to gather both customer and product reviews, which are subsequently reviewed, published online and syndicated to all major search engines. You can put those reviews right onto your own site, with the ability to track performance via real-time statistics.

eKomi promises to give you valuable, actionable feedback through its 5-star review system, helping you develop more trust in your business, increase conversions, drive more traffic and help your ad campaigns become more efficient. We decided to put that to the test.

With a staff of 150, eKomi is based in Berlin, Germany, with locations in LA, Atlanta, Madrid and other U.S. and European locations. It supports 26 languages, serving 14,000 companies worldwide, with 40 million customer reviews. It’s the size of Trust Pilot; although trust Pilot has more staff members.

Review Capacity

There are four ways in which eKomi helps businesses collect reviews:

  • Pop up: This is normally done at checkout on the thank you page.
  • Email: They boast a 10 -15 % conversion rate via email for getting reviews.
  • Tablet: Can collect reviews via tablet in a retail store AND even a delivery company or plumber.
  • SMS Text Messaging: SMS text message reviews 40+% conversion ratio. NOTE: This is what separates Ekomi from ALL the other competitors.

eKomi has large capabilities for handling reviews: they physically read 10K reviews per day. And with a target market of small- to medium enterprise-sized businesses, this is no small task. While they are starting to take on more service-based companies as of late, the majority consists of e-commerce sites.

Pricing

eKomi is one of the more affordable review sites out there, with plans starting at $49/month for the cheapest option. Compare that with Shopper Approved’s lowest at $99 a month, and Trust Pilot’s Lite plan at $299 a month.

For the 50 bucks monthly with eKomi, you get seller reviews, email and popup, +$20 for SMS and $20 tablet. If you want to go up to 5,000 transactions, plan to spend  $399/mo for their higher package.

eKomi also isn’t afraid to push the envelope. They’ll do adult websites, which is something their competitors won’t touch. For example, eKomi Dildoking has 100K reviews. They’re not worried about these types of sites and the stigmas that are attached. They only care if it’s legal or not, which adult websites are. Adult websites are huge money, and they have no problem getting in on that market.

Our recommendation is that anyone who spends more than $500/mo should have eKomi.

Best part about eKomi is that you’re only charged for what you want, whereas many other companies make you sign on for things you don’t need and will never use, like Trust Pilot. While it doesn’t have quite the brand recognition of Trust Pilot or Shopper Approved, the price can’t be beat, the features are decent, and its SMS Text Messaging reviews of 40+% conversion ratio are unbeatable.
